The Black Owned Small Business Expo, is Maryland's largest and fastest growing event dedicated to showcasing locally owned minority businesses.

The Annual Black-Owned Small Business Expo was created to unite and uplift minority-owned businesses by providing a platform that celebrates their presence, power, and potential within our community. Now approaching its 10th year, the Expo has evolved into a signature event that connects local entrepreneurs with thousands of engaged supporters, essential business-building resources, and corporate service providers committed to helping them grow.
Our mission is to foster visibility, equity, and generational success for Black and minority-owned businesses through meaningful exposure, high-quality education, and strategic connections. We aim to create a space that blends professionalism with cultural celebration, an elevated experience where entrepreneurship is honored, connections are built, and minority businesses thrive.
The BOSB Expo is held twice a year with our spring show being featured at locations such as; FedEx Field (Sports & Learning Complex) The Baltimore Convention Center, The Baltimore Armory and the Waldorf Culture Center. Our Fall show, held every Small Business Saturday (the day after Black Friday) is held at our home venue, The Showplace Arena in Upper Marlboro, MD.
Past Year Highlights
Since 2016 the Black Owned Small Business Expo has been dedicated to promoting black-owned businesses and encouraging entrepreneurship. Over the years, our event has grown to become one of the most dynamic and engaging business expos in the community, drawing thousands of attendees and featuring some of the most innovative entrepreneurs from all over the east coast.
The Black Owned Small Business Expo is more than an event; it is a movement. We strive to expand our show every year and impact more businesses. We are committed to elevating the visibility and success of small black-owned businesses in our local and national communities.
Our goal is to create a community that supports, inspires, and empowers entrepreneurs of color.We are constantly searching for avenues to grow our reach and size to more cities across the country.
